Well I certainly did not think I would get this far, but here I am! One week past my due date, and Baby Girl is still cozied up inside. We’ve tried just about everything in the book to induce labor, walking, bouncing on an exercise ball (I’ve bounced so much on it, that it’s starting to go flat!), spicy foods, hot baths, cinnamon stick tea….aaand nada.
Each day, I find a new level of discomfort, a new level of tired, and a new level of being over it. Read More

Ok, you all, you have to purchase this cable knit turtleneck. Seriously, you will not regret it!! I loved this sweater so much when I purchased it in burgundy and orchid last year, that I had to add another color when J.Crew restocked them this year. J.Crew’s game has been ON POINT this year!
Unfortunately, the burgundy color was not restocked this year, BUT the sweater does come in eight other wonderful colors. I’m considering going back for the navy one…when you really like something, you buy it in all colors, right? 😀
One more FYI–this sweater can be a little itchy if you have sensitive skin, so you might want to add a light button down or turtleneck underneath.

Even though October has officially arrived, temperatures are a little above average right now. I can’t complain too much, the humidity is gone, and it’s breezy so it doesn’t really feel like it’s in the low 80s, and the mornings and evening are still cool. So while Fall continues to figure her stuff out (and while Baby Girl is content staying put for the time being), I am sticking with comfortable outfits that can easily transition from daytime to nighttime temps! M. and I have been taking a lot of walks in the evenings to try to speed up labor, haha, and it cools off enough to need light layers.
For me, that means a comfy pair of jeans or leggings, a lightweight shirt like this tissue turtleneck (at 39 weeks, I can’t believe it still fits!!), ankle booties, and a vest to throw on.
Halogen Cashmere Poncho (love this one & this one, too!) | J.Crew Striped Tissue Turtleneck, identical here | Jessica Simpson Maternity Skinny Jeans, favorite non-maternity here | Target Leopard Flats | Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 | Julia Marie 2″ ‘Lauren’ Monogram in rose gold, c/o | Prada Sunglasses via DITTO, use code ‘CLASSYSASSY‘ to receive your first month free! | Christian Paul ‘Whitehaven’ marble face watch, c/o | NARS Satin Lip color in ‘Palais Royale’
YOU GUYS—-it’s actually starting to feel like fall around here!! Over the last couple of days, the temperature highs are low 70s, and the mornings are even cooler, so you know what that means….It is OFFICIALLY Blanket Scarf/Vest/Chunky Sweaters/Boots/Pumpkin Spice err-thang Season, woot WOOT! *cues confetti*
My husband and I took a long walk after taking blog pictures last night, and I didn’t even break a sweat! (That’s a huge win, being 38 weeks pregnant!)
So now that the weather has cooled off (hopefully for good), I am breaking out all of my comfy ponchos, cozy blanket scarves, and enjoying a little bit more neutral color palettes. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good punch of color as much as the next gal, but I have really been crushing on neutrals lately! (have you seen my Pinterest board?). Read More

Happy Monday, friends!
I spent all last week cleaning and organizing like a mad-woman, trying to get finish up everything before Baby Girl makes her debut. (Any day now!)
Now when I say “like a mad-woman”, what that really looks like is I clean for 30 minutes, rest for an hour. Eat a snack. Clean for 30 minutes, rest another hour. Pee 20 times. Repeat.
It’s slow progress, but I am (finally) seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
But enough about my week, let’s talk about one of my favorite trends this fall…Over-the-knee boots with dresses! Read More

Wearing white after Labor Day? Yeah, that rule never really jived with me. In my book, white (and especially white denim) is acceptable year-round!
So let’s talk about white denim, specifically, white maternity denim. I’ve got one word for you–INVEST. You may be wondering, “why spend the money when I’ll only wear them when I’m pregnant?”. When it comes to a wardrobe staple like jeans, quality is what you need.
