Fall Happenings and Holiday Seasons in Tweed

With the first weekend in November coming to a close, I can’t help but look towards the holidays coming up! Even before Halloween ended, stores had already begun to put up their Christmas decorations and candy. Now, as much as I love Christmas, and am a TOTAL sucker for decorations, Christmas music, wrapping presents (send me your gifts and I will be MORE THAN happy to wrap them for you!! No, seriously!), I cannot forget Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is way more than having turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and stuffing yourself with stuffing and cranberry sauce; it’s a time to get together and purposefully reflect on the things that we have been given and to show thankfulness for our blessings. Really, I think it’s the perfect gateaway to usher in the Christmas season!

But enough about that, can we just take a minute to swoon over the leaves changing??? It seems like that in the past few days, the fall has finally gotten her act together and the trees are exploding with color! And ohhhh, I am LOVING these cold mornings and evenings! I am more than happy to through on a couple layers and snuggle into my giant scarves while sipping a hot drink…..Or stay cozied up inside with a blanket and a good book and the heat turned on. Oh yeah, it’s fall.

This outfit style is pretty much my uniform during the fall season. There is nothing I love more than pairing tights (or leggings) with boots and a thick, warm tweed skirt over it! Please ignore the wrinkles in the skirt, it happened from sitting in church and riding around in the car all afternoon :P.And can we just talk about how swoon-worthy this necklace from Accessories Mercado is??
