Before I hop into my outfit for today, I just wanted to ask you all for your support for a contest that I entered in! The top five with the most votes, one from each region of the US, win a $250 gift card to H&M (AH-mazing, I know!), and THEN, the grand prize winner wins a trip for two to attend an H&M exclusive event in New York City during fashion week. Pretty exciting, right??? WELL, I am completely in love with H&M clothing, but what I am really dreaming about is attending a fashion event in NYC!!!

So, for my outfit today, I am keeping it casual and comfy because I am running all of the errands I did not run on the weekend (oops!). Friday and Saturday were both just one of those days where you are constantly doing something and running somewhere (I did work on Saturday), but it feels like not much was accomplished. Ah well, today is my day to catch up!

Even though it is already August and I have been going Fall Fashion crazy on Pinterest, I am not quite ready to say goodbye to summer! I absolutely love the green colors of the trees and grass, fresh fruits and vegetables that are in abundance, not to mention the warm weather! I love the crisp air of fall, but here in the Midwest/South, fall doesn’t really last longer than a few weeks :P. We basically have two seasons with a few weeks of spring and fall thrown in as an afterthought. I guess it’s better than Antarctica which only has…one.

Ew.

Steph from White Coat Wardrobe and I decided to do our photo shoot together and my amazing photographer is actually one of my really good friends (thanks, Meghan!!). We spent a good three hours taking photos, changing outfits in the back of Steph’s car (not even kidding), and of course enjoying a little vino in between. It was definitely some much needed girl-time for all three of us! You can see Steph’s outfit details here.

Not being blessed with Steph’s long gams AND having an extreme aversion to heights (read: severe acrophobia), I attempted to conquer my fear and climb the tree….

I have fallen quite in love with these sleeveless blouses from Target! You have probably seen my yellow one on heavy rotation both on the blog and on Insta. They are a linen-silk like material (rayon), so comfortable, and incredibly versatile! I have worn them with everything from shorts (obviously), to jeans, skirts, denim jackets, and blazers. They can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion, and are a nice lightweight fabric for summer. The link to the striped one is above and you can find the solid color blouses here (they come in green, yellow, and black). They have definitely been my go-to blouse for the summer, and I don’t think I will be putting them away during the winter….don’t you think the striped shirt would be a nice pop of color underneath a sweater?

Well lovelies, still no word yet on the laptop so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully I will be back to editing my pictures and formatting my posts properly in time for some giveaways (yes, plural) that are coming up this week. SO EXCITED. 😀
