Happy Weekend, lovelies!
The past could weeks have gone by in a blur, and I couldn’t be happier that it is the weekend again! I am looking forward to a weekend of catching up on blogging, replying to all the wonderful comments you leave me (you all are so sweet and patient!!), and hopefully catch up on housework.
Since Memorial Day, I have seen white denim popping up all over Instagram, so I thought I would finally break mine out…Just kidding, I am a breaker of many fashion rules, not the least of which is the “Do not wear white before Memorial Day”. Anyone else an offender of this (silly) rule? I thought this outfit would be a perfect outfit for those of you who are still on the fence post about neon colors. Particularly neon yellow. It is a simple outfit, incorporating only three colors (white being one of them), and it is perfect for a night out on a date or lunch with your girlfriends.
I don’t know why, but lately I have been all for matching my my accessories together. Totally unlike the norm, I usually like to add a third color for an unexpected pop. But the more I think about it, the more I see white as being a color just as equal in the equation as either turquoise or yellow. Not only does it make for a wonderful canvas in which to paint a portrait, but sometimes it is more than just the background and is actually a part of transforming the ensemble. Don’t turquoise and neon yellow look so delicious together??! If you have still been sitting on the sidelines of the neon trend, not knowing what to wear it with, pairing it with something in white is the perfect place to start! Add one more color, preferably cool in temperature like this turquoise/mint tunic, and you have a canvas that showcases the neon colors without being overbearing. Or looking like you belong at a highlighter party. 🙂
Have I mentioned that I am completely in love with these neon pumps and crossbody bag?? Well, Target does it again. Seriously, I don’t know why I haven’t shopped there until this year! The pointy toes of the high heels elevates the shoes from party to sophistication. Who ever thought that neon could look so chic? On a side note, with it raining off and on the past few days, my hair has turned into quite the frizzball, so styling it has proven pointless. You will be seeing me in braids and ponytails practically every other day this summer.
OH, if you haven’t checked out Brina Box’s beaded rose necklaces, you should! The quality is FANTASTIC, and the colors (in whatever your heart desires) are to die for.
I apologize, ladies, I am being rather random today and rambling on. I have sooo many thoughts running through my head, I feel like I have the memory of a goldfish who forgot to take her Ritalin. Just kidding, I don’t take Ritalin…(perhaps I should??).
