One thing that I never ever thought I would be into is fruit prints—
I think a well-placed watermelon here, or a small strawberry patch there is totally adorable, but I’ve never been one to go completely ga-ga over them and want to grab up every single piece in sight!
Until this pineapple printed shirt hit Target, and began seeing pineapple prints all over Pinterest, and then visions of prickly fruits started danced in my head.
Not really, but you get the idea! Some people are wondering what’s the big deal about pineapples, and why are people going pineapples bananas over them, but really, they have either never tasted a pineapple, or they’ve been hiding under a rock and have never seen a pineapple.
What comes to your mind when you see/eat a pineapple? For me, visions of sandy beaches and sitting by the swimming pool in the summer with a cold drink come to mind. Relaxation, hot sunny days, tropical locales–all happy, vacation-y type thoughts. And apparently everyone is in the mood for a tropical vacay (who wouldn’t be?), because the pineapple print has splashed its way across the fashion and home decor world this past year, and it isn’t going bye-bye anytime soon!
So for those of you looking to add a little tropical flavor to your wardrobe, or just want to put a bit of sea-side sun in your decor, check out some of these fabulous pieces and prints that are sure to curb your pineapple craving! But fair warning–the pineapple prints might cause you to start singing “If You Like Pina Coladas” and book the quickest flight to Hawaii.
