Ok, ok, so I’m wearing the same vest twice in one week. The thing is, this vest goes with literally everything, which is why I had to force myself to come up with other layers to wear instead. This is the first time I’ve paired it with red, and I must say, it’s probably my favorite combination so far!
And with my huge obsession affinity for giant blanket scarves, I had all but forgotten that smaller scarves are just as an acceptable accessory as they are for comfort. My #instatoreallifebestie Steph from White Coat Wardrobe got me a couple of adorable plaid scarves for my birthday a couple of months back, and they reminded me that sometimes smaller is better. Especially when they are just as soft as cashmere!! If you haven’t checked out the plaid scarves at Target, RUN to your nearest store!! They are so soft, and right now they’re on sale. Win-win in my book! (I may or may not have gotten this one for me the hubs).
And while it is currently below freezing, I am more than happy to pile on whatever soft, cozy layers I can get my hands on (would it be crazy to layer two of these scarves together??). And while we’re on the subject of it being cold, can anyone tell me where the heck FALL WENT??? One week it’s in the 60s and literally two days later, it’s 36 and freezing rain and snow…A few days after that, it’s a whopping 14 degrees during my morning commute. #notafan. I wake up and it’s dark. And cold. Not exactly the best motivators for getting me out of bed early!
I’m hoping that the weather will warm up just a tad, or at least put some snow on the ground, this whole toocoldtosnow business is what makes me despise winter so much. It is either a degree or two above freezing so we’ll have sleet, or it’s in the teens and too cold and dry to snow. Oh well, I will wear bright cheery colors in protest….or to hopefully perk up my cynical attitude towards winter :).
Ok, end rant.
