CLASSY SASSY

FOR THE LOVE OF PINK…& PLAID

February 25, 2014

The Deets:
blazer:  Gap (similar here and here) | shirt:  Kohl’s (similar) | denim:  Old Navy in Brink Pink
loafers:  Sole Society via Nordstrom | handbag:  Louis Vuitton | pearls:  heirloom

I would like to say that I have no idea why I let my colored denim spend most of it’s time in my dresser this fall and winter…maybe because I found the perfect pair of jeans??

I dunno, but for whatever reason, I had all but forgotten that I have a rather nice collection, aaaand I wore maybe two or three pairs.

Now that the weather has given us a few tantalizing tastes of spring weather, I can’t help but want to shake off the dark winter colors and let the bright colors out to play!

Like pink, for example….I have been on a HUGE pink kick lately, while I didn’t document it on my Instagram feed, last week I wore four different outfits, all incorporating some pinky-colored piece of clothing or accessory.

When I met up with Elizabeth to take some outfit pics, I realized while looking through the pictures that every single one of the three outfits I had put together revolved around pink…I swear I’m not obsessed! 😀

Ok, ok, pink is such a fun, bouncy, upbeat, GIRLY color, that I really just can’t help myself!

Confession time:
I used to hate the color pink.  I despised anything that was ballerina pink, pepto bismal pink (still do), hot pink, all that nasty, girly, bright sissy colored stuff was out of the question for this tomboy!

Who was I kidding, I was a total girly-girl, just wouldn’t admit it!

Long story short, I fell in love with it freshman year of high school when it was perfectly acceptable to be completely girly (and it just so happened to be that year’s color), I “reluctantly” embraced it :D.

And I’ve never looked back!  Seriously, pink is probably my favorite color.

I love it…*gulp*…more than PLAID. *cue embarrassed emoji*

Whiiiich is why when these jeans went on sale for $12, I didn’t even think twice (I actually didn’t even think once!) about adding them to my basket!

And when they arrived at the FedEx facility, the hubs and I left at 8:35 pm and speed drove twenty minutes to pick this baby up…FedEx closes at 9. 😀

Oh yeah.  I love pink.

And plaid.

They are both in this outfit.

Stay  Classy!

I love these pink pants. They are out of them in my size on line but I may have to stop by Old Navy this weekend. Do the Rock Stars run true to size? Cute outfit! Susan
