Happy 1st of June!!
And happy weekend, ya’ll! When it comes to style and trends, fall will always be my favorite season–but I would have to say that the trends for the last couple of summers have really been catching my eye! I’ve pulled together the top five classic summer trends that I can’t stop thinking about (and adding to my imaginary closet!). Trends like French blue and white stripes (I talked in this post about how the majority of my summer wardrobe is light blue!), dainty straw and wicker basket handbags (currently eyeing this one from Zara–only $49!!), white espadrille wedges, and more.
The great thing about these trends is that you can go low or high, depending on your budget. Normally, I would suggest not blowing your budget on trendy items that will not be in style for more than a season or two, but the great thing about these trends is that they are pretty much summer staples–just like plaid and cable knit sweaters are classic fall trends, so too, are these five trends summer classics. If you know you will wear them year after year and all summer long (like my white Jack Rogers, for example), don’t be afraid to invest a little money so they last longer!

There are certainly more than five summery classics that you can’t live without, but I decided to keep it simple for today’s post…Don’t worry, there will be a follow-up with even more of my favorites (can’t forget about embroidered details and fuchsia pink!).
