Gingham & Neon, and Lace Obsession

Hello lovelies!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and support while I wait for my laptop to be fixed. Still no word on when it will be finished (or how much it will cost), but I am plugging along on the iPad (at least I have something!).

Today’s look features some of my current trend crazes: gingham, neon, and lace! Oh yes, this is definitely happening 😀

If you follow me on instagram, then you might remember when I enlisted the help of my fellow fashionistas to help me locate this navy gingham shirt. It had been available online during my closet remix challenge, and then when it finally ended, it seemed like every store was sold out! Someone gave me the tip to call the outlet stores and see if they could ship the item to me, so after a couple of hours of calling stores in a handful of states (oh yeah, when this girl is determined to find something, she finds it!), I found one. 😀

I am absolutely in love with the colors of this neckace! I have been quite obsessed with the neon trend this summer, trying to inject a pop of neon into lost every outfit I have worn…maybe I need an intervention :P. The wedges (clearance find at H&M) help to tie the necklace in with the rest of the outfit and puts a sophisticated flirty twist on the “southern girl” vibe. The necklace is from a fairly new boutique, but it has so many great pieces and great prices! I highly recommend checking it out, you won’t regret it! Oh, and did I mention that the owner of the boutique is also a blogger who lives in the same town as me? You should probably go check her out, too, she’s a pretty neat lady! (Say hello to Meredith!)
