On Sunday, the hubs and I went on a mini-date to Keeneland to walk around and enjoy the fall colors. Boy, did we not have any idea as to just how gorgeous it would be! We got there just in time as the sun was beginning to set, which just so happens to be my favorite part of the day. The light fell just so that it made the colors dance and literally took my breath away! I’m such a sucker for fall, and a hopeless romantic when it comes to taking a walk with the hubs when the leaves are changing.
Driving through my neighborhood yesterday, I noticed the sidewalk on one side of the street was completely covered in leaves. I absolutely love seeing piles and piles of leaves, because it makes me want to jump in them (or shuffle my way through them, leaving a trail), but I was actually sad to see such a huge pile because I knew it meant that fall would soon be over and the trees would be bare. Which means winter. And I hate winter. Snow is nice, but I only want two or three weeks of it around Christmastime, and then spring may arrive.
And with the weather getting colder, I am craving more thick sweaters and skirts. This tweed skirt from J.Crew Factory was a great score, it’s a wool blend, thick, warm, and it pairs with practically every color (last seen styled here). An can we just talk about the new arrivals at J.Crew???? *swoon* AND Black Friday is in a couple of weeks…I’m going to die.

These photos took my breath away. You took this photoshoot right at the prime time for those trees! INcredible. I love that JCrew Factory skirt and you've given me some new ideas of how to style mine. It looks really gorgeous with that green sweater…which I also have (can you tell I share a mutual love for JCrew as do you?).
