Holiday Casual: Stewart Plaid & Navy Vest

Ohhh, plaid–The holidays aren’t nearly as festive without plaid! And it’s no secret that I collect plaid like it’s going out of style, it’s almost a daily staple in my fall and winter wardrobe. #sorrynotsorry

Today’s outfit is perfect for a casual holiday get-together with family or friends. A comfy pair of denim, paired with a festive button down, layered with a vest, and of course bright pops of Christmas red (my other obsession this season)!

This plaid shirt from J.Crew will definitely be a staple in my holiday wardrobe in the years to come–I’ve seen this particular pattern pop up on shoes, handbags, blankets, etc. over the years, and it always comes back. I think I’ll pair it with these black sequined leggings for New Years (oo la la!)!

So now to my other obsession this season; RED. I use to not be a big fan of the color, but this year I’ve been grabbing up every bright-red thing I can find! My husband thinks I may have gone a little crazy…. #nosuchthing I love how it instantly brightens up an outfit–it’s so cheery! I have had to remind myself that there are other colors out there. I guess I tend to go overboard when I really like something (double plaid, much?), but what the heck, it’s Christmas-time :D.
