Happy First Day of Summer, lovelies!!
Or, as many of us have been anticipating since JANUARY, (or at least I have…sorrynotsorry!)
National Wear Your Lilly Day!
First of all, I would like to give a HUGE thank you to all of you who left me sweet words of encouragement and prayers yesterday. It means so much to have such supportive people that care, and wonderful friends (yes, that’s you!) who will take the time to leave a short note saying they are rooting for me. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!
If you have been waiting to break out those crazy, colorful prints, what better day to break them out than the first official day of summer! Anytime I see a Lilly Pulitzer print, it sparks in me a longing for long days, cools nights, cold drinks, and of course the occasional party with friends. I LOVE summer!! By the way, if you’re wondering what this gorgeous new print is from the flyer, it’s called the Booze Cruise, and it is a-DORABLE. It is probably my new favorite Lilly print because 1). it has anchors…GIANT anchors, 2). it’s in coral and navy, one of my FAVORITE preppy color combinations ever. Ok, you don’t have to be preppy to love these two colors together. 3). It’s such a classy print that this will be in style for years to come. Actually, I would wear this print even if I was in my 60s.
If you have the privilege of living close to a Lilly store, stop by for a celebration filled with music, treats, gifts with your purchase, and much more! Unfortunately, I do not have an official store close to me, but you can be sure I will be popping in my local store to join in the festivities!
And now for my confession….While I do own a Lilly agenda book, tumbler, and some stationary, I only own one item of Lilly Pulitzer clothing. Two, if you count my belt. While I am completely in love with 99.9999% of her prints and shift dresses, I do not have the monies to buy a Lily dress just yet. And you want to know where I purchased my adorable skirt? EBay! That’s right, I snagged this beauty for a ridiculous steal, and let’s just say I won’t be parting with it anytime soon. I am an eBay queen, and proud of it!
And because it is the first official day of summer, I decided to pair it with even more bright colors! Look out, world, you might need your shades when this girl leaves the house! Ehh, ok, I was being a little dramatic. Maybe I should warn the staff at the school to which I am applying to break out their sunnies before I arrive….I am kind of breaking my Closet Remix Challenge today by wearing a blouse that I bought yesterday, with a gift card, sooo, it’s technically not cheating, but kinda is. Oh well!! I couldn’t resist wearing this bright yellow top today, a HUGE thanks to my Instagram friend @pennsylvania_prep_girl for showing me where to get this fabulous blouse!

So ladies, I am going to leave you for now, I have much to do and not enough time to do it! That’s right, an online styling session where we gals get online at the same time and shop together, talk, style, etc. Sounds exciting, right?? I’ll bring you more details later today!
