Sooo, I am such a terrible person for not posting this, like, two weeks ago, but I promise I have my reasons! First, this skirt did not arrive until the day before New Year’s Eve (sold out and then restocked), the weather wouldn’t cooperate long enough for photos, and then I was just too lazy to re-curl my hair. Seriously, it takes me between 40 minutes to an hour just to curl it (and then the wind messes it up like in these photos).
But OMG, I don’t mean to brag, but I am completely in love with my New Year’s Eve outfit!! It has everything in it that I love; sequins, bows, pearls, glitter, and it is so classy and sassy all at the same time! Old Hollywood glam, and I love it.
This sequin top was, I am embarrassed to admit, an impulse buy while Christmas shopping. I walked into the mall and NY&Company is the first store as I walk in, and this top was calling like a siren from the display window. Sequins. Bow collar.
It obviously came home with me.
And then Danielle from Just Dandy posted the most adorable black feather skirt, and I knew that my New Year’s Eve outfit would be complete.
I would just like to say that if you do not have a feather skirt, you need one. At first I bought it for the sole purpose of NYE and then to wear again for LuckyFabb in the fall, but I have already thought of some adorable ways to wear it!
One idea would be to pair it with a plaid button down and flats (LOVE how Haley wore hers), and I think the Tres Chic sweater needs to come into play with a chambray shirt underneath, and a pair of ankle booties.
If you have any more ideas for how to style this skirt, I’d love to hear them!
