Hello, lovelies!
Thank you so so much for all of your support yesterday, concerning my interview! I cannot tell you how much it meant knowing that I had so many of you thinking and praying for me. The interview went really well! I got there early and they began the interview right away. They were all dressed casually, instead of in business attire, which immediately put me at ease (I was dressed in a grey pencil skirt, navy striped button down, and my white blazer from Thursday’s post). I’ll post a picture on Instagram later today for you to see it 🙂
The principal said I will receive a phone call from them telling me if I got the job or not, so it’s nice to know I won’t be left hanging (which is the worst feeling in the world!). I will definitely keep you all posted!
For today’s outfit, I am back to my colorblocking self with the three colors I chose to put together :). I can’t help it, there’s just something about using three different (bright!) colors that appeals to my personality! Or maybe it’s the fact that it’s summertime, and bright colors are the way to go. Both, maybe??
The Deets:
If you are looking for an outfit that is conducive to hot, humid weather but is more than just shorts and a tank top, then this outfit is perfect! The loose fitting, cotton button down is breathable and does not cling, while at the same time dresses up a pair of shorts and still looks classy. There is nothing more unattractive than being drenched in sweat in a tight fitting shirt, no matter how cute it may be!
Look for shirts that are made of natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and rayon, or other breathable materials such as seersucker (my personal favorite), eyelet lace (it has holes in it, DUH), chambray, and chiffon. Avoid synthetic materials such as polyester because they allow sweat to build up and can cause skin irritation and discomfort. TOTALLY not fashionable to be sweating and have a rash. Ew. I am definitely a cotton girl. I also really like the sheer material blend that Forever 21 uses a lot and Express as well (their Portofino shirts are perfect).
