I went home to Indiana for a couple of days to visit my family and see my ADORABLE nephew, and now I’m back home to spend the rest of my week getting some much needed rest. I can’t believe it’s April already! Seriously, ladies, where has the time gone?? Spring seems to be (finally) sticking around for good, and if you’ve looked at my Instagram feed lately, spring colors have taken over!
With Spring comes warmer temperatures, but mornings are still on the chilly side here in the Bluegrass, and dressing in layers is a MUST. For example, this striped sleeveless dress will be perfect on days when it’s sunny and 70s, but I didn’t want to wait several weeks until it was warm enough to wear it. #aintnobodygottimefodat
How many of you have sleeveless dresses hanging in your closet, waiting for warmer days? OR, how many of you are afraid to show your arms because it’s been months since they’ve seen the sun? #guilty So what’s a girl to do? Layers. Easily transition your dress from day to night with a button down layered underneath at work, and then leaving the button down behind when going out for the night. Try a short-sleeved button down instead of the long sleeves! Same effect, not quite as buttoned-up (pun intended) as a long sleeve oxford.
And can we talk about spring colors for a moment—blue and green are my absolute favorite colors to pair together!! Throw in a pop of pink, and I would be happy wearing only these colors all spring long.
