Hello, lovelies!
Pardon the punny title, I tried to think of something creative that would describe what today’s outfit post is, buut sadly I failed. That’s otay, I have plenty more where that came from :D.
Anywho, today marks ONE WEEK of my closet challenge (WOOHOO, I SURVIVED). For those of you who are just now stopping by, you can check out my Closet Remix Day 1 post for more info.
Shopping my closet has been fun, albeit it has taken a little more time to put an outfit together without re-using too much. Don’t misunderstand me, I am probably one of the worst offenders when it comes to outfit repeating, and I’m actually proud to admit it (hey if an outfit is cute and no one sees you in it, why not wear it again??). Oh yes, sometimes if I’m not working much that week, I will go through maybe three or four outfits (gyms clothes don’t count). *GASP*
There’s just something about wearing a button down underneath a pullover that instantly makes me feel classy, put together, chic. 🙂 I tend to carry myself with more purpose and poise, head held high, when I look put together but at the same time am comfortable in the clothes I am wearing.
I wanted to celebrate my one week milestone by going with a classic color combination: pink and green. I don’t know why I never wore this color combination before this year, but I LOVE it!! And not just any pink, pink gingham. I actually can’t wait to repeat this outfit! 😀
For a long time, I shunned dressing up because it was the “uncool” thing to do while in middle school and high school. “Dressing up” meant faded jeans with holes, faded polo t-shirt, and collar popped. That is what prep looked like in the Midwest 😀

I wasn’t quite sure if the necklace would work with the oufit, considering I am not wearing any yellow, but I hadn’t worn the necklace yet and it was too pretty to not include! Maybe next time I’ll wear a pearl necklace…What do you think?

This outfit is so cute, but I have a question. I have a casual job {I actually wore some cute shorts yesterday to work}, but would you where those cute lace shorts to work?? I bought a pair, but now am stuck on what to wear with them. Also, your top is cute with that, but I live in Texas and it near 100* everyday. I can't do that many layers. But I love the "boat shoes" with it!!
