Hello, lovelies!
I hope everyone had a fun but restful Labor Day weekend (and maybe enjoyed the sales a little bit, too!). If going back to work today is a little difficult, just remember that it is already Tuesday, and tomorrow will be halfway through the workweek. Don’t you just love long weekends?? 😀
I had a wonderful weekend spent visiting my family, which I am sad to say, hadn’t visited in a couple of months! We went boating and water tubing at my aunt and uncle’s lake house on Saturday (and celebrated my little sister’s birthday), spent Sunday at my other aunt and uncle’s house, and grilled out at my parents on Monday and came home late last night. Nothing too spectacular or crazy (unless you count the giant spiders attacking my aunt and I on the jet ski!), but it was a great time spent with family.
SO, now that it is September, I am going to attempt to put away some of my bright summer clothes and wear only transitional outfits…I’m trying to persuade summer to make its exit!

With this outfit, I am taking the summery nautical theme and adding a plaid button down to give it a fall twist. Anchor print and anything else that is nautical are two things from summer fashion I do not want to see go, so pairing them with fall colors and patterns, you can keep them in rotation longer. Some colors that could be paired with this nautical print are creams, camel, mustard would be a great choice, oxblood, etc.
Sorry but not sorry that I’ve been talking about fall fashion so much, I just can’t get enough of it!! This week, the weather is supposed to be a little bit cooler than the last (no 90 degree nonsense), so you can expect to see me breaking out more of my fall pieces!
