Riding boots are a serious staple in my fall and winter wardrobes.  I wore boots so much that my students asked me if I owned any other pairs of shoes!  Seriously, I wore my last pair of boots (seen styled here, here, and here), almost every single day each fall and winter for the past two years.  They have received lots of love, but their time with me is soon drawing to an end.

So, the search began for a new pair of riding boots.  I searched high and low, but the boots that I found were either too cheaply made or too expensive.  

Enter, ARIAT.  I had heard of them before, living in the Bluegrass you tend to hear about equestrian brands every now and then.  These boots are simply GORGEOUS, and the most high-quality boots I have ever come across.  The leather is stiff and strong, no flopping of the calf piece when not being worn (which means no unsightly bend marks in the leather!).  The construction of ARIAT boots are made for equestrian life but the sleek silhouettes and attention to details like the stitching and shape make them perfect for fashionistas like me 🙂  They are definitely an investment piece, but a quality pair of boots is an investment worth making!

When I opened my box for the first time, I fell in love!  This classic western cowboy boot is given a chic upgrade with the slanted opening and stitching around the knee and ankle.  For today’s look, I paired my Sahara boots with a simple shirt dress (probably one of my most favorite H&M purchases), black tights, and added a little pop of color with my necklace (I may or may  not have purposely matched it to the blanket…).  What I love about this outfit is that it’s so comfortable but the boots add a bit of southern sass to the dress!  Next time, I think I’ll give the boots a little party-chic vibe by pairing them with my grey tiered sequin skirt, button down, and a sweater.  Sequins and boots always go together quite nicely :D.
