Tailored Shorts & Blazer for Spring

FRIENDS! It has been a few years since I last logged on, and I have missed it! A lot has happened, since I last published a post, but if you haven’t been living under a rock the last few years, y’all have been through a lot, too. *Cough Cough, COVID* And we now have three girls, so life is VERY full :).

I had debated on whether or not to write a post on what I’ve been up to, these last few years, why I stepped away, my back-and-forth on whether or not to ever come back or close the blog down all together…But I think, for today, I am just going to post a more traditional outfit post; one), because these photos have been sitting in my draft folder, and two), I don’t even know if I am truly “back” to blogging. I am just taking it a day (or month) at a time, and see how it goes.

Shorts in Winter

Y’all, the weather this past week has done WONDERS for my soul! It has been warm in the afternoons, and the girls and I have been outside taking walks, climbing trees riding bikes, digging in the raised beds, etc. Those of us in the Midwest/upper South know it as “False Spring”, and since it is February, we know these random days of warmth and sunshine are a treat.

It might be too cold for shorts, right now, so when I do wear them, I pair them with tights (à la Blair Waldorf). This week, however, temperatures are supposed to creep up into the 60s, so it just might get warm enough to wear shorts!

Another trend I have seen, lately is designers such as Dior and Miu Miu pairing their looks with knee high stockings and I honestly love it! Obsessed with this look from Chanel. Not sure if I could pull it off the knee high socks with shorts trend, but I think I might try it.
