TARTAN TIMES AND WEEKEND FANCIES

Happy Monday, lovelies!
I had such a wonderful weekend with my sister visiting this weekend, we attended a horse race and sat in the clubhouse for lunch, grabbed coffee and walked around downtown, stayed up late catching up, etc.  Nothing crazy or super packed, but we enjoyed our seester time!

I am SUPER excited about my outfit for today, I have been saving this skirt for just the right time, and since fall has been making its debut this past week, now seemed like as good a time as ever!  I started shopping at J.Crew right when this skirt came out (GASP), I know, I haven’t been a J.Crew addict shopper for very long.  Anyways, I fell in LOVE immediately, but at the time, the price did not agree with me.  And then when it went on sale, of course my size was nowhere to be found.

Well, as you may know by now, when I have my mind set on something, I will move heaven and earth to find it!  So I searched Poshmark, Amazon, and eBay for weeks, hoping that someone for some reason would want to sell their skirt.  Obviously, I eventually found it!  A girl on eBay was selling it for half the original price, so it was basically a no-brainer!  It came in the mail, I swooned, and then sadly packed it away to hopefully make its entry into my outfit rotation soon (read:  this was back at the end of July).  I’d pull it out every now and then, daydreaming of the outfits I would put together, whispering promises to my skirt that it would one day be presented into society.  And then when the weather finally started to behave with proper fall manners, I knew that the wait was finally over!

This weekend will be the perfect time to break out my skirt!  Today is the beginning of the weekend, my sister is coming into town tonight, and I am currently enjoying my fall break.  And did I mention that I did my housework early this week and can actually enjoy a free weekend?  As in, going out to enjoy my weekend?  My sister has never seen a horse race before, and here in the Bluegrass, it’s Racing Season again!  All this month
