Hello, lovelies!
I cannot even begin to describe how perfect the weather was yesterday! The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze, and the temperature was cool and free of humidity (my hair was very thankful!). It was certainly a wonderful, but brief, taste of fall…If only our autumn season lasted longer than a few weeks!
Instead of spending my day inside, I was more than happy to run errands…Windows rolled down, denim jacket on, sun shining on my face…And ohhh, the longing for it to stay like this was deep. Sadly the temperatures are on the rise again (back into the mid to upper 80s), and I believe summer is going to give it a last hurrah before it decides to exit the party.
While summer may be leaving us soon, and I am MORE than excited for fall fashion to be my go-to (I am DYING to bring this lovely out!), I am a little slow in wanting to put away some of my summer clothes…especially when I am just now getting to wear some of them after snagging them on super clearance (this pink skirt from J.Crew Factory!!).
While pieces like gingham, polka dot, and striped shirts can easily be made fall-appropriate by layering under sweaters, blazers, and cardigans, using my bright summer skirts are what I had to put more thought into.
So, to alleviate my dilemma, I decided to try to come up with some outfits that would allow me to keep some of my favorite summer skirts in rotation as we head into the fall season. Most of the skirts I own or have something similar, and just about all of these skirts I have seen floating around on Instagram so I am sure this post will come in handy for you all!

These are great looks! My favorite is the one with the pink skirt…because I have all the pieces! I would have never thought to pair them together!
