Wishlist Wednesday: Home Furnishings

May 1, 2013

Happy Wednesday and May 1st, lovelies!

WOW, can you believe it is the first of May already??  Where has the time gone?!
Today is Day #2 of my Closet Remix Challenge, I’ll post pics on my Instagram and do a recap on the blog tomorrow.  You can see my outfit from Day #1 here.  I must say that it hasn’t been difficult getting dressed, but maybe that’s just because it’s only Day 2.  The temptation to shop hasn’t really hasn’t been an issue, but I am sure it will be once all the sales on summer clothes (MAXI dresses!!) start hitting stores. I have unsubscribed from all emails from retailers in hopes that I will not be tempted by their colorful displays and oh so sweet sales and discount codes…You know what I’m talking about…
New arrivals at stores are announced, and the retailers hypnotize you with a “30% off all new arrivals” code.  Before you know it, you’ve gone to the site and picked out five lovelies that you thought you just “had” to add to your closet 🙂  Or they have discounts on already sale-priced clearance and suddenly that pair of JCrew sandals you’ve been drooling over is finally in your price range.  That’s never happened to anyone, riiiight??  And don’t even get me started on the Friends and Family sale that happened at Tory Burch…it’s a good thing I’m doing this challenge 🙂

SO, if I could spend a little monies right now, I would probably pick up a few of these pretties for the home.  I have gotten into a feathering my nest kick lately, trying to make my apartment homey but nice.  It’s a pretty slow process–adding a lamp here, putting a little wall decor there–but I will get there eventually (maybe by the time we have to move in 3-4 more years).

Anywho, since it is a wishlist, I didn’t try too hard to find really inexpensive things to put on it (it is a wishlist, afterall!), so while the prices aren’t too high, there are a few items that are over $100, and two items that are over $200 (they were just too cute to not include!).
Home Furnishings

Window Mirror:  Pier1 // Price:  $159.99
Lampstand and Shade:  Target here and here // Price:  $54.99 and $22
Peacock Platter:  Pier1 // Price:  $69.95
Quatrefoil Wall Decor:  Pier1 // Price:  $79.99
Geometric Pillow:  Pier1 // Price:  $20
Scroll Vase:  Pier1 // Price:  $89.99
Chevron Striped Chair:  Target // Price:  $279.99 on the expensive side (for me, at least), but too cute!
Pearl and Gold Round Mirror:  Pier1 // Price:  $179.95
Geometric Rug:  Target // Price:  $149.99-279.99 depending on the size
Petals Pillow:  Pier1 // Price:  $25
Sunburst Mirror:  Layla Grace // Price:  $385 (Target used to have one online for $35, but it’s sold out so check your local Target and see if they still have it!)
Yellow Coffee Table:  Target // Price:  $149.99

How adorable are these items??  The pillows are at great prices, and who could pass up that petal pillow!  The prices for the wall decor pieces aren’t too bad, but I am sure you could find some of them for a little bit cheaper.  I actually have a wall decor item that is pretty similar to the quatrefoil that I found at an antique store for $35!

What are some of your favorite items on the list?

Enjoy the first of May, lovelies!
XOXO, Whit
