Wishlist Wednesday: J.Crew Fall Edition

Happy Hump Day, lovelies!
So excited for the new J.Crew collection that came out today!! While practically all of these pieces are out of my price range right now, I do know that there will be sales in the near future (think Labor Day!). And I just really like to look at pretty things, don’t you??

Generally when I stalk the new J.Crew collections, I am looking for inspiration for trends and classic pieces, and then find a look for less. Sometimes, I am lucky enough to find a piece I’ve had on my wishlist on the sale rack and of COURSE I will snatch it up (this blazer is a great example of a sale rack steal)!

So while most of the collection is a little expensive, I am completely in love with all the details and patterns that have made their appearance this fall:
-Jeweled collars
-Tweed
-Plaid
-Leopard
-Camo, just to name a few, are some of the prominent trends this season. Check out my list of favorites!

Some of these pieces like the striped necklace tee and the Tippi sweaters are pieces that might be worth the splurge because they could be considered closet staples. Even though jeweled collars are a recent trend, the t-shirt could always dress up a pair of jeans or be tucked into a pencil skirt with a pair of heels.
You can’t really go wrong with tweed anything! A type of fabric that got its origins from hunting and outdoor activities in the UK, tweed has become a classic that will never go out of style. From red tweed pencil and mini- skirts, to blazers and sweaters, J.Crew does not disappoint with the classics!
Stripes will never ever go out of style, and I am loving casual feel of this boy shirt in suckered stripe! And speaking of casual, how cute is this Kiss Kiss tee in different languages? While I have a hard time justifying paying $45 for a t-shirt, this will definitely be on my sale-rack stalk list. 😀
Also on my stalk list? This adorable jeweled headband of course! Who said that jewels were only made to adorn the neck, wrists, and ears, and that only Blair Waldorf and her minions could wear headbands?? This is definitely a headband for big girls.
And what is at the top of my wishlist?? J.Crew’s new striped excursion puffer vest. Yes ladies, as if the herringbone vest wasn’t a big enough deal, J.Crew just had to make a striped vest.These pieces have me intensely longing for cooler weather (and wishing I had a deeper wallet)! The deep, rich colors of emerald, cobalt, camel, and oxblood make me want to bundle up in thick scarves and boots and sip pumpkin spice lattes by a bonfire. FALL CAN’T COME SOON ENOUGH!!
